Mark Winitz

Director of Training and Education Development, Center for Continuing Education, Inc

Mr. Winitz has served as a Training, Instructional, and Performance Consultant for over 25 years, managing, designing, developing, and validating highly effective and proven training solutions for his clients in a variety of industries, and for both technical and non-technical audiences. He has successfully completed projects that have included curriculum for worldwide implementation by Fortune 500 companies as well as individualized learning materials for employees in "mom and pop shops." Mr. Winitz began his training career in 1977 as an instructional developer for Deterline Associates in Palo Alto, CA under the wing of Dr. William Deterline, a pioneer in programmed instruction who participated in the development of the Instructional Systems Design (ISD ) model and its application to military and industrial training. Three years later, he started his own training consulting business, Phrasemaker Enterprises based in Los Altos, CA. He is a longtime member of the International Society for Performance Improvement and also holds membership with the American Society for Training and Development. Mr. Winitz also provides media. promotions, and communications services through his organization Win-It!z Sports Public Relations, and has published over 1,000 articles covering the sports of track and field and long distance running. He serves on the boards of several non-profit organizations, and is a longtime volunteer for USA Track & Field. He holds an M.A. and B.A. in English.

Mark was instrumental in the development and production of CCE's highly-acclaimed program "Sports Law: Rules of the Game" and is the author of a CCE Self-Assessment Article "Legal Obligations and Solutions for Protecting Online Personal Information."
