He is the author of a nationwide treatise on Judicial Disqualification: Recusal and Disqualification of Judges, and has been recognized as the nation's leading authority on that subject. He is
past Chair of the Bar Association of San Francisco Ethics Committee.
On December 10, 2009, Mr. Flamm testified before the
Subcommittee on Courts and Competition Policy.
